Sissy, ej, and I went whale watching for sissy's 30th bday! Whooo hoooooooo!!! We couldn't have picked a more beautiful day! We left from the Long Beach harbor, right by the Queen Mary...

We went pretty far out into the Pacific and saw some friends. Sea Lions!!

Sunbathing Sea Lions

And then a Pelican flew right along side our boat to say heyyyyyyy! Our tour guide said it has a four foot wing span!

Pretty houses on the cliffs

Sissy lookin all wise

So we went really far out on the water and turned off the boat's motor so we wouldn't scare the whales away. And then we waited....

Finally!! One came pretty close but wouldn't come up out of the water. We were probably too loud.

Thats the hump on the back of the whale's body

Pretty blue sky!

Snow on the mountains in the background. I thought it was crazy!! And then I had flashbacks of DC. NO MORE SNOW!!

Sissy's rainbow cake from our fave bakery in Torrance

Hahaahaa ej got her good!

I forgot to take pics of the inside of Larry's apartment but this is the outside. His neighborhood is called Holtenbroek (Holt-uhn-brook) but people call it Holtenbronx. And they named the buildings after American musicians like Louis Armstrong and Elvis Presley. Really weird!

Cunny and I

Some Brazilians doing Capoeira in the square. Larry swears he took a Capoeira class before! Whatever

Everyone rides bikes in Europe! Its kind of nice because there are less cars on the rode and its good exercise I guess. I liked the Vespas best.

We stopped at this cafe when we were in the city. Try orering off that menu! It's so hard. I learned that kip= chicken and that's pretty much what I ate the whole time besides Italian food, croissants, and sausage.

We shared a boerenbeenham baguette. Basically a ham and cheese sandwhich with lettuce and tomato. Yum!!

Muffins kept callin' my name!

I didn't expect to see so many canals in Holland but they were everywhere. Notice there's bikes everywhere!

Cool statue

Larry's home away from home. He's a Nike freak

That clock tower is from the 17th century

McDonalds everywhere!
and more bikes

Yes, there are black people in The Netherlands and this is what they look like! Familiar! But when you speak to them, they look at you like you are President Obama himself. They don't speak English typically but they're really nice!

Downtown Amsterdam

Another Canal

Lovebirds

We had all-you-can-eat Ribs for dinner. Plus cunny ordered Fajitas. See that apple juice? It costed 3$ for that small thing! And you can't order water at the restaurants in Holland.

I told people that everyone in Holland looks like the skinny kidnapper from Home Alone. Thats him in the blue sweats!

Back in Zwolle where Cunny lives.

The cathedral was built in 1614. Its incredible to see in person. Especially at night.

Ice Cream parlor!

I had to take a pic of this lady just in case she was trying to kidnap that baby. Larry says that a lot of African men come to Holland for the women.... go figure.

These pics are from halftime at Larry's game. They let some local kids do a dunk contest and it was pretty funny

The girl on the left is from Serbia. Her name is Miliana (or something close to that) and she's the girlfriend of one of Larry's teammate. She was visitng for her Sprng Break as well. I noticed that she kept touching Kiani's hair and she finally whispered to me "There are no African American people in Serbia. I've never seen hair like this." She handled herself well cuz I woulda freaked out!

That's Kiani on the right. She's larry's teammate's daughter and she's sooooooo cute. She's only two years old but she's super tall. Her dad is 6'8'' and her mom is 6'2''. They're all really sweet and they're from the south (Georgia I think). I wish Kiani would've smiled for the camera though. She speaks a little bit of dutch and a whole lot of English. One time she kissed Larry so I told her we would have to fight!

Cunny and I had a great visit and Im glad I got to see him play. He's had a solid rookie season. Europe is unbelievable and I don't know how proud I am to be a greedy, excessive American. Larry will be back in the states in about a month. Whoooo hoooooooooooooo! im also counting down til graduation.
